Olathe CVB
Dear Visitor:
As Mayor of Olathe, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our community.
While in our city, we hope you take advantage of the rich historical attractions commemorating Olathe’s heritage, including the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, the farm is the last remaining stagecoach stop on the Santa Fe Trail open to the public. Olathe is also the birthplace of the original cowboy boot!
Olathe offers a dynamic variety of shopping, dining, and cultural events, as well as acres and acres of parkland and prairie tall grass for you to explore. Our hotels offer top-notch, reasonably priced accommodations. And, Olathe is just minutes from Kansas City, so your stay in Olathe places you in just the right spot to enjoy all that the metropolitan area has to offer.
With a population of 102,000, Olathe is one of the fastest growing cities in Kansas. Despite our unparalleled growth, we have retained the friendliness and warmth of a small town while offering big city amenities.
We know you will truly enjoy your stay in Olathe—whether you’re here to visit our attractions, join in the fun of a major community event like the Hidden Glen Arts Festival, Bullwhacker Days, or Old Settlers, or attend a national sporting event. Olathe is home to the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and hosts many other sports-related activities as well.
Whatever your reason for visiting our community, you will find a warm welcome. And perhaps, like many others, you may find yourself choosing Olathe as your home. Our outstanding, nationally recognized public schools and affordable housing have made Olathe an excellent community to live, work, shop, and play.
Please enjoy your stay and visit again soon!
Sincerely,
Michael Copeland
Mayor
