Leadership Olathe
Information
Mission Statement
Improve and strengthen individuals and the Olathe community
by identifying, inspiring, and involving those persons who have
displayed a capacity for leadership and providing a means for
directing participant involvement into community leadership roles.
Applications for 2008 program were due Sept. 12, 2007.

Plan to apply in August/Sept. 2008 for 2009, if interested.
Length of Program: Eleven full-day sessions begin in mid
October and are held throughout the fall and winter, culminating
with graduation in late April / early May.
Selection Basis: Each year, up to 24 men and women are
selected from the Olathe area for admission to the program. Additionally
each Olathe high school selects two students to go through the
Leadership Olathe program.
Cost: Tuition is $1000. Partial tuition scholarships are
available. (See Scholarship
Guidelines.) Tuition includes all meals, books and materials
as well as all out of town transportation when leaving the city
of Olathe.
Goals/Topics: "Improve and strengthen individuals and
the Olathe community by identifying, inspiring, and involving
those persons who have displayed a capacity for leadership and
providing a means for directing participant involvement into community
leadership roles."
The Leadership Olathe program endorses and supports the goal of
the Kansas Community Leadership Initiative (Kansas Health Foundation)
to make Kansas the best state in America to raise a child by the
year 2020. The curriculum of the Leadership Olathe program is
reflective of that goal.
